Adding channels

Gflix plays what you bring. Here's where it can come from.

Gflix is a player. It comes with no channels, films or series of its own, and lists none: it plays what you add to it, from sources you have the right to use.

From a TV provider

If you pay for a TV service that gives you an Xtream Codes login or an M3U playlist address, add it in Settings › IPTV Sources, with Add Xtream Source or Add M3U Playlist. Gflix checks it with the provider before it's kept. A guide address (XMLTV) the provider gives you goes with the source, under its EPG Sources.

Choose a provider that holds the rights to the channels it streams. A service offering thousands of paid channels for very little almost certainly doesn't.

From your own media server

Your own Jellyfin, Emby or Plex server, with your films, series and recordings: Settings › Media Servers › Add Media Server. Sign in, pick the libraries you want, and they join your shelves.

From a broadcaster

Some broadcasters publish an address for their own stream and say in their terms that other players may use it. Where a broadcaster's terms allow it, add its address with Add M3U Playlist.

Most free channels can only be watched in the broadcaster's own app or on its website, and their terms say so. A stream address being reachable doesn't mean it may be used elsewhere. Those channels can't be added to Gflix.

On Apple TV

Add sources in Gflix on your iPhone or iPad, and iCloud brings them to your Apple TV. Or, on the Apple TV, open Settings › Set Up Gflix and scan the QR code with any phone, or type the address it shows into a browser on the same Wi‑Fi: the Configure Gflix page that opens adds and edits sources there.

What Gflix doesn't do

Gflix doesn't sell, list or recommend channels, playlists or providers, and isn't connected with any of them. Questions about what a source carries belong with whoever provides it.
